Day 1: The First Day to a New Me!

Welp...here goes! This is the daily (painfully truthful) journal of my journey to a new me.  I have gone back and forth from in shape and out of shape for my entire life. This is the day for that to end.  I no longer care what other people think of me...there are only three that I strive to impress...my husband, my son, and God.  It is for those three that I start my journey but most importantly, I want to feel good about myself.

Here's what I'll be doing for the next 3 months: (Of course I want this to be a lifetime goal, but I'm taking baby steps!)

1. Read my Bible everyday...EVERY single day.  God has to come first in my life.  Everytime I try to take control of my life, it gradually spirals out of control.

2. Exercise AT LEAST 30 minutes a day...hopefully more.

3. Eat only whole foods.  Ok, that sounds weird.  What I mean is, nothing from a box..no processed food, no brownies, no ice cream, no fun haha! I am allowing pasta from a box and peanut butter.  Everything else will come from the outer aisles of the store (Dairy, Meat, Vegetables, Fruit, Whole Grain Breads).  The only exception to this is Thanksgiving and Christmas because I cannot keep myself from dressing, pie, etc.  I will try to maintain portion control lol.

4. Work hard as a Thirty-One Consultant so I can help chip in financially while being able to stay home with my sweet, sweet boy!

So that's it...here goes to a journey to a new me!

Today was a 1/2 day I guess...here was my day:

Breakfast: Bowl of Cinnamon Life Cereal, OJ, Water
Snack: 2 No-Bake Cookies (No Bake but no good for you lol)
Lunch: Pepperoni Lean Pocket, Cheetos, Water
Snack: Popcorn (Extreme Butter lol), Tea
Dinner: Biscuits and Sausage Gravy, Canteloupe, Tea (Good thing I had Canteloupe to offset the biscuits and gravy lol)

Exercise: 50 squats, 61 Jumping Jacks (yes, 61 lol), and 9.9 miles on the stationary bike (30 minutes)

Sooo...not so bad excersize-wise...eating, well...that's another story...

  1. Ok, I didn't know Cheetos were whole foods. Lol! Good for you Kenya. I'm very proud if you. You are a strong person. You can do whatever you set your mind to. Praying for you.
